Ontario Making Electric Vehicles More Affordable

Ontario is making it easier for people across the province to reduce greenhouse gas pollution and switch to an electric vehicle (EV) by further enhancing its Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (EVIP).

Electric Vehicles Making a Breakthrough in 2017

With hundreds of charging stations being installed across the province, including the London region, Cara Clairman sees 2017 as the year electric vehicles make the big breakthrough.

“We are seeing an awakening. . . . It is not going to turn around,” said Clairman, president of Plug’n Drive, an independent citizens’ group promoting electric vehicles.

Plug’n Drive has been promoting electric vehicles for eight years. Clairman sees two big factors making this year the breakthrough year.

Plug'n Drive's President and CEO, Cara Clairman, receives the Clean50 Award

Plug’n Drive’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Cara Clairman, President and CEO of Plug’n Drive, has been selected for the 2017 Clean50 award.

Canada’s Clean50 awards are announced annually by Delta Management Group to recognize 50 individuals or small teams who have done the most to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada over the past two years.

Plug'n Drive to launch GTHA-focused EV Owners survey

With the support of The Atmospheric Fund (TAF), Plug’n Drive is launching Ontario’s first-ever electric vehicle (EV) owners survey. Ontario has just over 5,000 EV drivers on the road that make up 32% of Canada’s total EV drivers. However, there is virtually no information about their demographic profile, where they drive or why they bought an EV.

Electric Vehicles - Reducing Ontario's Greenhouse Gas Emissions

A report released today by Plug’n Drive, entitled “Electric Vehicles: Reducing Ontario’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions” shows that the greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction potential of electric vehicles (EVs) is considerable and EVs can play an important role in Ontario’s GHG reduction strategy.

Nominations for the 2015 EV Dealership Awards Are Now Open

Plug'n Drive and the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2015 Canadian Electric Vehicle Dealership Awards Program.

Dealerships in Canada selling electric vehicles (EVs) are encouraged to self-nominate for these one-of-a-kind awards for leadership in EV sales: Leading Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Dealership Award, Leading Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) Dealership Award, and the EV Dealership Inspiration Award.

Enersource partners with Plug'n Drive

Enersource and Plug'n Drive are working together to better understand how electric vehicles affect electricity consumption.

Mississauga’s local electricity company recently partnered with the non-profit organization, whose commitment is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles within Ontario through the Charge My Car initiative. This initiative will help facilitate the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in individual homes.
